Tax Map


ResponsibilitiesThe tax map department is responsible for maintaining an accurate tax map for Wood County.

Tax maps are kept current with regard to parcel splits, vacations, annexations, parcel combinations, condominium plats, and road dedication plats.

Currently, Wood County has 874 individual maps which cover approximately 70,000 parcels.

There are 19 townships, 21 villages, and 5 cities in Wood County.



Legal DescriptionsNew legal descriptions are verified for compliance with the Wood County Land Transfer Policy: Wood County Land Transfer Policy

You may submit legal descriptions for review to the Wood County Engineer's Office. The document will be reviewed and put into a folder for pickup at a later time. Please allow up to 7 days for review. You may also fax your legal description to the office.

The Wood County Engineer's Office will review your legal description, and stamp it, or submit comments via return fax.
